Companion Lifeline is a division of Gerig Enterprises, Inc. Rick Gerig, President of Gerig Enterprises, Inc. has been affiliated with Companion since its conception in 1991. In 1997 Rick and his wife Lori purchased what was then called Companion Call Light from MKM and Associates. At the time Companion Call Light had a total of 125 clients in the Allen County area. Since 1997 Companion has expanded to over 1,100 subscribers and serves all of Northeastern Indiana and Northwestern Ohio.
Our name, Companion Call Light, was changed to Companion Lifeline in October 2004 to reflect our new relationship with Lifeline Systems, Inc. Lifeline is the originators of the emergency response concept. Lifeline Systems is the largest provider of emergency response systems with over 725,000 subscribers across North America.
This new relationship allows Companion Lifeline to upgrade our equipment to the state-of-the-art communicators that has become the trademark of Lifeline Systems. The high- tech monitoring center that services more than 32,000 calls a day exceeds any other monitoring company's facilities. We believe this change benefits our subscribers by providing better equipment, quicker response time and more reliability for greater security and assurance to our subscribers and their family.
Rick and Lori are both natives of Fort Wayne where they have raised their family. They are involved in home educating their two youngest children. They are long time members of Berean Community Church where Rick has served as Deacon for many years. Rick is also an active football official. He officiates high school, college and indoor football throughout the Midwest. Lori has been a long time volunteer peer counselor at both the Hope Center as well as the Women's Care Center in Fort Wayne.
Jeff and Ann are also both natives of Fort Wayne. They have six children who they have been busy homeschooling for the past nineteen years. Jeff was added to the Companion Lifeline team in 2006 as sales marketer. At the beginning of 2010, Jeff was transferred to the position of full-time operations manager. Prior to working with Companion Lifeline, Jeff worked as an HVAC installer and service technician, and continues to work part time in the field. Jeff served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1986, during which time he and Ann were stationed both at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Okinawa Japan. In his free time, Jeff enjoys volleyball, softball and Frisbee golf. Ann plays keyboard and sings in their local church body, Berean Community Church, and also enjoys composing music and gardening.
Ryan and Missy are also both natives of Fort Wayne. They have 3 boys, of which are all homeschooled by Missy. Ryan was added to the Companion Lifeline team after 15 years combined sales and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical, food sales and collegiate athletics industries, respectively. Ryan is a graduate of Purdue University. After graduating from college, Ryan traveled the United States in the world-famous Oscar Mayer Wienermobile as a 'Hotdogger Ambassador' for the Madison, Wisconsin based company (and that's no bologna!). He is an avid bass fisherman, golfer, reader and Boilermaker sports fan. Missy is a trained vocalist and spent time as a music therapist at the former State Developmental Center in Fort Wayne before becoming a full-time, stay-at-home mother.

| Just a note of THANKS - Bertha was alone at home and fell. Luckily she could push her button to call you. The response was quick. She did break a leg but is doing well. Hopefully she will be home soon. Thanks again. |
